Welcome to Playlo! Before you jump into the competition, take a moment to check out our rules. Understanding how the game works will help you maximize your experience and increase your chances to win.

1. INTRODUCING THE GAME

By curating songs from over 150 diverse sources—including streaming platforms, DJs, radio stations, blogs, and magazines—Playlo brings together the best music across 12 genres. 

The app turns music discovery into a game, where users rate songs and compete for rewards. If a song submitted by a user lands in the Top 10 of the All Genres ranking, they’ll earn money.

2. HOW TO SUBMIT AND TRACK A SONG

To enter the competition, your submitted song(s): 

 • Must be available on Apple Music with a preview. 

 • Must not have been in the Top 20 of any genre within the past three months.

 • Must not have already been submitted in the current month.

Once your song is submitted and has received enough ratings, it will appear on the Ranking page. At the end of the month, you’ll receive an in-app notification with your song’s ratings and its ranking position. Be sure to enable notifications to stay updated.

3. RATINGS

Our system combines user ratings with a unique algorithm designed to keep the game fun and unpredictable. 

Unlike traditional streaming platforms that prioritize popular tracks, Playlo stands out by spotlighting emerging artists and by focusing on quality. This means the less known a song is, the greater its chances of winning. 

These criteria apply to every song, ensuring fairness and keeping the focus on the music!

4. RANKING

While we feature tracks from various brands and personalities, we do not act on their behalf, but we give full credit to these sources for helping us discover great music. 

For example, if you see the Spotify logo on the Ranking page, it means that the song in that position was discovered by us on Spotify and added to the competition. 

By joining the game, you’ll compete against songs discovered from these diverse sources and those submitted by fellow music lovers. Our mission is to celebrate and share exceptional tracks while recognizing the curators behind them.

5. WHO CAN PLAY?

The contest is open to anyone with a great song to share, whether you’re an underground artist, a music curator, or just someone with a passion for discovering new tunes.

6. TRANSPARENCY AND FAIRNESS

All songs receive equal exposure within their respective music genres to maintain fair play. During the rating process, the source of each track remains anonymous, eliminating bias and keeping the focus on the music. Additionally, rankings are visible within the app, and winners are announced monthly on Playlo’s blog, promoting transparency.

7. INTEGRITY OF THE GAME

We take the game very seriously. Any user found engaging in unfair practices, such as deliberately rating songs too low or too high, will be permanently banned from the app. To ensure fair resolution, all gameplay and ranking disputes will be handled by our team in Spain, where the app is based.
